The nomination process for the Chhattisgarh Assembly elections has officially begun, setting the stage for a high-stakes political battle. On the 16th, candidates from all constituencies in the Rajnandgaon district will simultaneously file their nominations at the election office.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be present at the nomination of former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh, and he is also slated to address a public gathering during this event. In a parallel move, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will kick off his election campaign from Kawardha district.
Amit Shah’s itinerary on the 16th includes a morning arrival at Mana airport from Ahmedabad via a special plane. From there, he will reach Rajnandgaon by helicopter to join the nomination process of former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh. Following the nomination, he will address a public meeting before returning to the capital city of Raipur. In the evening, he is scheduled to depart for Kolkata from Mana airport. There, he will participate in the Durga Puja festivities in Sealdah before returning to Delhi at night.
Simultaneously, as many BJP candidates have expressed the need to have prominent leaders from Uttar Pradesh, the party is launching its campaign with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who will hold a significant meeting in Kawardha.
